- Well let's see, I'm Mom to Victoria and Mitchell, wife to Dick; I'm special to all three, who are special to me,and that makes me the Luckiest Person on Earth. Victoria is married to Andew Knipp. I love being a mother-in-law. Hope he loves his mother-in-law. I love the comfort of being home. I'm blessed with a huge craft room, and an endless desire to create. One of my favorite things in this life is meeting people. I have the gift of gab, and can talk to most anyone. God has truly blessed me.

It's Almost Here!
For the first time in days we actually had a beautiful, sunny day, with a nice temperature today. Tomorrow is suppose to be even warmer, and the weekend is looking to be wonderful. Here in Ironton, we have the oldest Memorial Day Parade in the nation. It is really a biggy for this little town. Folks who have moved away actually plan their vacations around Memorial Day just to come back home and be here for the parade. As the day we salute those who have served our country, near and far, years ago and now, people line the streets, in order to pay tribute. The gathering of family and friends, meeting at the parade, is a wonderful time. I hope that wherever you are that you too will be able to gather with family and friends and spend time with those you love this coming weekend.
Now, for today’s card. This is made with the oval punch. I outlined every oval with a little bit of gray coloring. I cut the black cardstock with craft scissors to make it look torn. The flower & flower center are laid on black cardstock too. I just use scraps of some silver and black & white paper to place behind the flower & tied the bottom of the card with black & white gingham ribbon. I placed stickles just along the lower half of the flower center. Hope you like the card, or at least the colors. Have a wonderful evening, and come back by soon.
Toota-loo,
Karen

I would have never thought to use the oval punch to make a flower. Thanks for the idea. I may have to try it. Hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.
Talk to you soon.
