Well let's see, I'm Mom to Victoria and Mitchell, wife to Dick; I'm special to all three, who are special to me,and that makes me the Luckiest Person on Earth. Victoria is married to Andew Knipp. I love being a mother-in-law. Hope he loves his mother-in-law. I love the comfort of being home. I'm blessed with a huge craft room, and an endless desire to create. One of my favorite things in this life is meeting people. I have the gift of gab, and can talk to most anyone. God has truly blessed me.

Howdy! Girlfriends

Hope everyone enjoyed the Holiday weekend. I didn’t do much but did enjoy it. It rained almost all day on the fourth, so I never left the ridge. Stayed at home all day, and spent a lot of it alone, which was fine by me. A person needs that alone time every now and then.

I’ve been surfing the last week, trying to find challenges to participate in. I believe I have gotten some confused. The card I’m posting today I made for a challenge on CCEE Stampers. I may be too late to enter the challenge, because it ends today. Over the next day or so I’m going to get all the challenges straightened out, so I get them in on time. I’m so easily confused anyway.

The challenge was to use black & brown paper for your card base. The image is the only thing that can have color on it. This is the card I came up with. The image is Giddy Up from Sugar Nellie’s. I punched the brown flowers from SU cardstock with an SU punch. The layers were cut using the Creative Memories cutting system (I believe that is what it is called.) I used SU ribbons in brown and gingham. The image is with SU markers and watercolor pencils. I hope you like the card. I have trouble rating my own things. Thank you for stopping by, and do come by often. Have a wonderful day!

Toota-loo,
Karen
