Well let's see, I'm Mom to Victoria and Mitchell, wife to Dick; I'm special to all three, who are special to me,and that makes me the Luckiest Person on Earth. Victoria is married to Andew Knipp. I love being a mother-in-law. Hope he loves his mother-in-law. I love the comfort of being home. I'm blessed with a huge craft room, and an endless desire to create. One of my favorite things in this life is meeting people. I have the gift of gab, and can talk to most anyone. God has truly blessed me.

Today has been a good day.  The temperature was 50 but it was a blustery day.  I haven't made it to the craft room yet, but heading there in just a few minutes.  I ordered some new stamps, and they all arrived.  I got some from HSN and others from Blitsy.  They are the Santoro Gorjuss girls.  I have several of older ones, that I received years ago, when they first came out.  Then, while watching HSN a couple weeks back, they had them on there, and stated that they are numbered now and considered collector's items.  Well, I got them in three different sizes, now.  I love watercoloring, and using Gamsol and stubs or blender pens.

The item I'm posting today is another water folio book.  This one is for cupcake recipes.  Cake is my most favorite dessert in the world, and I thought about all the recipes for cake or cupcakes that I have, so I made a book specifically for cupcakes.  It turned out cute.  It is on my Etsy page, under Quaintly Put.  I hope you enjoy the pictures I'm posting here.  I have something else I'm working on now.  I hope to have them finished and post them tomorrow.  I cased it from Dawn at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts, and it is a matchbook that holds a Ghirardelli chocolate.  I used the new Hey, Chick stamp set from Stampin' Up.  It is one of the free sets.  It is actually quite cute.  I loved it, and, of course, spending $50 in stamping supplies isn't a problem for any stamper.  Can I get an AMEN!  Okay, heading to the craft room.  Enjoy!

Beautiful You! Stampin' Up Set

It hasn't been a bad looking day, but a cool day.  I suppose we are suppose to have a few cold days in January, almost February.  We might be kinda' spoiled here since we have had such good weather over the usual colder months.  I suspect February and March will bring us some much cooler temperatures, and a bit of snow.

Well, my husband got called back to work this week.  He had to take his physical on Thursday.  I hope he passed it.  He is going back to work at AK Steel, however, he will be in a different department.  God has been so good to us.  Our insurance just ran out in December, and I feared what we were doing to do, which I shouldn't have feared, God to the rescue.  He gets Dick called back in January.  Now we will have insurance again.  So glad of that.

I saw Ann's Happy Stamping make a calendar using Beautiful You Stampin' Up Set.  So, I bought it, and the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper as well as the Falling in Love Cardstock, and the Falling Petals embossing folder, which I didn't have to use on this project, but wanted.  I then took my many purchases and made a calendar similar to hers.  Of course, I only had short pads of paper, so mine are shorter, and I could not find a calendar to print off on the computer, the size she used, so I ordered business card size calendars and on the top of them I had Vistaprints put Quaintly Put on Etsy.  Take a look at the pictures if you haven't yet.

Last week, on Blitsy and HSN, I made major purchases of stamps.  Stamps galore, I say.  I had to have more of the Gorjuss Girl stamps.  So, next post, I'm hoping to upload a project using one of those.  I have colored several of them, just got to binge watching Goliath on Amazon, and didn't get anything accomplished besides coloring.  Goliath is pretty good by the way.  I can always watch a good Billy Bob Thorton show.  Okay, bye for now.

Recipe Water Folio

This is a water folio with recipe cards.  Each card measures 4" x 6".  There is a lot of room in this folio.  I wanted to place it on my Etsy page for sale.  If you're interested look for Quaintly Put on Etsy.  As you can see, I have just 12 cards in the folio, but there is plenty of room for more recipes.  There is an extra page where you can make notes or glue things you want to remember.  I love it!  I think it turned out very well.  Okay, off to play with paper!  Enjoy your Saturday!

I can do this.

Okay, I can do this.  I can blog a little bit.  I gave up in 2013, as you can slightly see, but I want to do it, so I'm going to work on blogging.

I'm also working on losing weight.  But, my goal is to get healthy.  I want to lift weights, do Piyo, and try to run a 5K, instead of walking one.

I'm working on a calendar and notebook holder in my craft room today, while I glance at all the inauguration stuff.  I love Melania's look.  She is so classy.  Well, Ivanka is pretty classy as well.  I have enjoyed watching it.  Anyway, my calendar is similar to one made by Ann of Ann's Happy Stampers.  She is very talented.  I will try to post it when I'm finished.  It is shorter than her calendar, and I had to order business cards with calendars on them because I couldn't find the little tear-off type calendars anywhere.

Okay, closing for this day.  If I can send a picture per phone, expect it sooner than later.  TTYL!
